Tonight's practice is ON for 6:30 pm at Panzer Pitch...

Saturday (8/30) is an official "off" day due to the Labor Day weekend.

Practices will continue next week, same Bat times, same Bat channels.

CONGRATS to Kris Swart who was reelected into the position of HEAD COACH and to our new team field officers Tim Bucher (Captain) and Drew Campbell (selector at large). These guys are the guys who decide if and when you play so let the brown-nosing begin!

PAY YOUR DUES!!! $100 -AND- you must CIPP register yourself.
Dues for Social affiliation and new players to rugby (not new to Suburbs but new to the game of rugby) are $50 plus CIPP registration. Do not try to CIPP yourself until 9/1 but please do so ASAP after that. There is a link on the website - see Club Dues and CIPP.

The deadline for dues is Tuesday Sept 2 -- SO, ENJOY YOUR LABOR DAY WEEKEND AND THEN GO CIPP YOURSELF!

The following is the schedule for the next 2 weeks...

Thursday night - Hennie Van Zyl will conduct a passing and backline play clinic at 6:30 pm at Panzer Pitch - this is for everyone! Please make every effort to be on time.

Saturday morning - 9:00 am at Panzer Pitch: 1.5 hour session per Coach Kris.

Next Tuesday night (8/26) 8 pm practice at Poplar Tree Park; we will be electing field officers (captain and 1 selector).

Next Thursday night (8/28) 6:30 pm practice at Panzer Pitch.

Next Saturday (8/30) is an official "off" day due to the Labor Day weekend.

We need to start collecting dues which will be $100 plus each player must CIPP register himself. Dues for Social affiliation and new players to rugby (not new to Suburbs but new to the game of rugby) are $50 plus CIPP registration. Do not try to CIPP yourself until 9/1 but please do so ASAP after that. A player simply cannot play under the umbrella of USA Rugby for anyone anywhere unless they are CIPP'd. We are asking each player to CIPP themselves this season. There is a link on the website - see Club Dues and CIPP.

Our first game is coming up quickly and we need to get these administrative items out of the way. It really helps when dues and CIPP are squared away before the games start as the officers don't have to chase loose ends and can focus fully on the season. Thank s for your cooperation.

A change in plans for Saturday...
Setanta will not be broadcasting the New Zealand @ South Africa match live tomorrow morning, but they will be showing it at 12:00 noon. Therefore it has been suggested - strongly - by Coach Kris that we meet tomorrow morning at 9:30 am at Panzer Pitch for some bugger, and adjourn to the Wings House in Herndon (13005 Worldgate) for lunch and to watch the match. See you all there. Post your availability on the message board! Saturday IS a Rugby Day!

From Prez Bushy: "I confirmed with Hennie Van Zyl that he will conduct a passing and backline play clinic next Thursday, 8/21. Attendance and timeliness are paramount for this session. In short, Hennie has developed a passing developer and training clinic that has been used at international level on down. The forwards are included too. Let's get the word out. Thanks-Bushy"

Fall 15s practices are now underway. UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE, Thursday practices will be held at the "Panzer Pitch" at 6:30 pm but Tuesday practices will be held at the turf field at Poplar Tree Park from 8:00 pm - 10:00 pm.
